Important dates: - Saturday October 10th 10 am, boat storage, volunteers needed - Saturday October 17th, keel boats storage. - Saturday October 31st 8.30 am, dock removal, volunteers needed
This year Westwood and Mooredale have committed by Friday October 16 that the grounds will be available for the keel boats to arrive Saturday October 17 to be stored on our grounds for the winter (a good revenue generator).
So…we need to get the our sailing fleet and power boats put away before Saturday October 17 and the only weekend to get this done is this weekend – Thanksgiving Weekend.
So…please come down Saturday October 10th to pitch in and help get all the boats (sail and power) moved and stored in the area starting about 20 feet from our deck and back to the road fence. We do understand this is the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend, and have tried to have the schedule modified with the cranes etc but it is not possible so this is the best day to do it.
A specific time will be communicated in an additional email. We are leaning toward a 10:00 am start time, rain or shine.
In particular we request that the Boat Captains be there. If you can’t be there please ensure in advance of the weekend that you arrange that…
1. your mast is removed and stored in our shed (to the left of the tool/parts room) prior to Saturday and boat is made ready to be moved and flipped. 2. Your boat deck, sides, and inside is power washed. 3. You communicate to the newly minted Fleet Captain, Jeff Krause (

) who you have arranged to take your place.
The crane to remove the docks for all the clubs will be on site Saturday October 31st so a work party will be organized for this date as well and we go first at 8:30 am.
